Widukind spielt mit Picolino

Berliner Songwriter und Gitarrenvirtuoso Carsten Klatte meldet sich mit seinem neuen Projekt “Widukind” zurück auf die Bühne.
Diese neuen Kreationen werden mit einer Multimedia & Musikproduktion am 12.11 in der Berliner TheARTergallerie aufgeführt, technische unterstüzung von Picolino natürlich mit dabei.
“Widukind ist die Antwort auf die „Scheinbarkeit“, die Weltlichkeit unserer Gesellschaft. Widukind zahlt heim. Ein Traum antwortet auf eine Illusion, ein wirres Hirngespinst rächt sich am „Makel der Zeit“, jener Oberflächlichkeit, welche sich selbst nicht mehr begreift, als das, was sie ist, eine Degerneration ihrer Selbst, dazu bestimmt, „den Bach herunter zu gehen“. Widukind ist das zarte Innere des Menschen, ein Gewissen, eine unantastbare Schöne, welche es verdient, behütet zu werden. Eine Blume, eine Laune der Natur, welche sich nur offenbaren konnte, weil sie frei ist.

It actually does what its siblings avoid perfectly. It distorts and cranks without mercy, which is the whole purpose of distortion after all. Picolino Noise Gate – Another new Product
The Picolino Noisegate will make its debut at the Frankfurt Musikmesse. Visit us at Hall 4.0 H64
The Picolino Noisegate switches a signal to “silent” once the level has gone below a selected threshold. One ideal example is to use it used in-line with a microphone in order to automatically mute the signal when the speaker pauses. The threshold is adjustable by trim pot. The Gate is powered by Phantompower of the desk, so no further power supply is required.

The PICOLINO 
Series from KID Broadcast welcomes a new addition. Isn’t that nice ? 
You can admire the newest Picolino at the Frankfurt Musikmesse, where we will be presenting all the latest Picolino products.
The Picolino Limiter limits the level of analogue line or mic signals. It prevents overloading the attached equipment by cutting the peak levels. The Threshold, or level at which the Limiter comes in, is adjustable by a trim pot. The Limiter is powered by Phantompower of the desk, so no further power supply is required. The Limiter has the same superior sound quality as all the other products in the Picolino series.

Orangebar rockt mit IamX rockt mit Orangebar
Egal wierum auch, es hat reingehaun. Letzte Nacht spielten IamX als Headliner beim Les Wallonies Festival in Belgien. Der neue Schlagzeuger/Maschine MAX (siehe IamX Blog, dann versteht ihr’s) & einige Synths wurden durch eine 8-Wege Orangebar DI gepatcht. Im inneren des 1HE Gehäuses, die selben verdammt-gut-klingenden DI Transformer, wie sie auch in der Picolino Serie verwendet werden. Die hervorragenden technischen Werte vom Messplatz sind ja hinlänglich bekannt, aber der echte Test war auf der Bühne. Mit einer sehr gut eingestellten D&B Q Serie Anlage und einem Midas Heritage Pult konnte ich durch die Orangebar einen richtig fetten Sound mischen. Frontman Chris Corner wurde auch mit einer persönlichen Picolino präsentiert. Als ich seine arme, alte, grausame DI im Proberaum sah dachte ich, da muss was besseres ran 
Chris’ Bass Sound ist nun um einiges besser klingend dank Picolino.
Eins ist sicher: IamX & KID Produckte rocken ab.
Die 8-DI Orangebar geht im Oktober auf UK tour mit The Birthday Massacre, die ja schon von Picolino & Advocis unterstützt werden.

Orangebar rocks IamX rocks Orangebar
No matter which way around, it rocked. IamX finished off their last show of the year as Headliner at the Les Wallonie Festival in Belgium. The new drummer / machine MAX (read their Blog and you’ll understand) as well as several Synths where patched through an 8 DI Orangebar. Inside the 1U chassis are the same high quality audio transformers as used in the Picolino series. Test results in the workshop are one thing, but the real test is on stage. With a well tuned D&B Q series PA and a Midas Heritage, I was able to mix that really fat and detailed sound coming from the Orangebar. Frontman Chris Corner was also presented with a personal Picolino DI. After I saw his poor, old, horrible DI in the rehearsal room I knew something needed to be done Chris’ bass sound is now much better sounding thanks to Picolino.
One thing is for sure: IamX and KID Products raawk.
The 8-way Orangebar DI will come along on tour in October with The Birthday Massacre, who are already supported by Picolino & Advocis products.

Advocis & Picolino erleuchten dunkles Festival
Die Sonderanfertigung des Tour-Advocis für TNproductions wurde rechtzeitig fertig um es beim diesjährigen WGT Festival in Leipzig einzusetzen. Das Event hat 150+ gothic, electronic, darkwave und metal bands über Veranstaltungsorte in der ganzen Stadt verstreut. Die Sonderversion des Advocis M wurde extra angefertigt um sie für Tour & Festivals einzusetzen & zu testen. Das Top Model Advocis-Imsande ist schon seit letztem Jahr unterwegs mit Cinema Bizarre und Lady Gaga US Tour, Nickleback, und momentan The Scorpions, eingesetzt von FOH Techniker Sebastian Morsch.
Für mich ging es um 2 Bands abzumischen, Cinderella Effect im Werk 2, und The Lovecrave in der grossen Agra Halle.
Freitag, Cinderella Effect, Werk2
Das line-up für Cinderella Effect war Constance Rudert Gesang, der fantastische Neil Black an Violine, und Carsten Klatte an E und Akustik Gitarren. Die Main Vokals wurden durch den Advocis gestöpselt und dies war das einzige Konzert an dem Tag wo der Gesang Kristall-klar die Halle gefüllt hat. Da ich nur einen Advocis dabei hatte, musste ich mit dem back-up Gesang sehr hart arbeiten um ihn auch nur etwas so gut hinzukriegen. Die waren schon gut, aber nirgends nahe dran an dem Klang des Advocis Kanals.
Als Carsten die Songs auf seiner Akustik spielte, setzte er natürlich seine passive Picolino DI ein die er seit letztem Jahr benutzt. Der klang seiner Takamine war sehr detailliert und füllte den Raum problemlos. Im ganzen eine sehr erfolgreiche Show mit gutem Sound. Ich freute mich schon auf den Sonntag in der Agra Halle.
Sonntag, The Lovecrave, Agra Halle
Die Agra ist eine grosse Expo Halle aus Metall mit schrecklicher Akustik. Ich war froh dieses Jahr endlich ein Martin Audio W8 Array da hängen zu sehen. Eine gute PA die mich definitiv den unterschied zwischen den Mic-pre’s des Advocis und dem Mischpultkanal hören lässt. Da sehr wenig Zeit zum umbau, line-check und Konzert Anfang wahren und ich sicher machen musste ob der Advocis korrekt gepatcht war, liess ich die Sängerin paralell auf Inputs laufen. So konnte ich den Advocis nachstellen und einfach ein crossfade machen sobald die Pegel eingestellt waren. Sogar in dieser Halle war die Stimme kraftvoll & sauber. Diese Italienischen Rocker spielten eine gute Show und die hohen Verkaufszahlen von CDs und Merchandise am Abend haben definitiv bewiesen wie begeistert das Publikum von der Qualität des Konzertes waren.
Der Sonder-Advocis ist fest in meinem Vokal Racke und ich kann kaum warten ihn auf weiteren Live Events einzusetzen. Er ROCKT !!! Die Artikel in den Zeitschriften überzeugen wie gut Advocis im Studio ist. Techniker wie Sebastian & Ich haben erster Hand gehört wie Unentbehrlich Advocis & Picolino auf der Bühne sind.

Advocis & Picolino brighten up dark Festival
A custom-made Advocis for TNproductions was delivered in time to be featured at this years WGT Festival in Leipzig. The event features 150+ gothic, electronic, darkwave and metal bands in Venues all over the city. This version of the Advocis M was specially designed for testing on tour & live events. The flagship Imsande Version of the Advocis has already been non-stop on tour since last year with the Cinema Bizarre and Lady Gaga US tour, Nickleback, and currently The Scorpions, in use by engineer Sebastian Morsch.
For me it was mixing 2 bands. Cinderella Effect at Werk2, and The Lovecrave at the large Agra Hall.
Friday, Cinderella Effect, Werk2
The line-up for Cinderella Effect featured Constance Rudert on vocals, and the amazing musicianship of Neil Black on Violin and Carsten Klatte on Electric and Acoustic guitar. The main vocals where patched through the special Advocis M and this was the only concert that day where the vocals where crystal clear and filling the large Venue. As I only had 1 Advocis, I had to work very hard to make the backing vocals sound anywhere near as good. They where good, but nowhere as clean as the Advocis channel.
When Carsten played the acoustic songs on his guitar, he made use of the passive Picolino DI which he has been using since last year. The sound of his Takamine was very detailed and filled the room as well. Overall it was a very successful and good sounding show. I was looking forward to sunday in the Agra hall.
Sunday, The Lovecrave, Agra Hall
The Agra is a large metal expo hall with frightful acoustics. This year I was happy to finally see a Martin Audio W8 array hanging there. A good PA that will definitely let me hear the difference between the Advocis & the mixing desk mic-pre’s. As there was little time for change-over, line-check and concert start, I ran the main vocals parallel between both inputs. This allowed me to tweak the Advocis, and to make sure it was patched correctly in the rush, so that I could blend to the Advocis once the mix was adjusted correctly. Even in this hall, the vocals stood out and where powerful & clean. The italian rockers played a great show and the high sales of CDs & merchandise afterwards definitely proved how happy the audience was with the concert.
The special Advocis is in my main vocal rack and I can’t wait to use it on future events. It really ROCKS !!! 
The magazine reviews show how great it is in the studio. Engineers such as Sebastian & I have learned first hand how indispensable the Advocis & Picolino have become on stage.

Advocis-M The little one with big ambitions
A year of personal training & work-out has paid off for the new Advocis M. The result is a slimmer mic pre-amp, sans the additional FET-stage, which hasn’t lost any of the awesome punch, detail & presence.
The newest addition to the Advocis series from KID Broadcast arrives, slimmed down in price but not in quality.
This new powerhouse worked-off the FET section during the long training sessions, however the transistor-stage has lost none of its phat. The only thing not required for this sporty new version is the characteristics pot.
The identical technical details of the transistor-stage are proof that this mic-pre can easily take on its bigger brother.
That’s why the same rules apply to the Advocis M; it places the voice in the centre. It provides a transparent openness and presents the listener an image of direct presence. The ingenious design as well as the extreme headroom guarantee brilliance and detail even when driven to extremes.
With all its features and the unique design, the Advocis is a definite must-have for any studio or live application where high quality voice reproduction is essential.
The Advocis M also enables smaller or project studios and ambitious hobby-musicians to enter the high-end league of mic-pre’s.
Carsten Klatte & Picolino auf Nummer Eins
Auf der Indie Top 100 Seite wurde Carsten Klatte als einer der Nummer 1 Künstler gewählt. Die in einem bestimmten Zeitraum gewählten Nr 1 Bands werden im Sommer auf eine Tour gehen. Eine Showcase Veranstaltung wird am 15 Mai in der Hamburger Markthalle stattfinden. Mit dabei natürlich Picolino DI.
Online Voters on the Indie Top 100 have voted Carsten Klatte as one of the Top artists. All the acts who have reached Nr 1 in a particular timeframe for voting will go on tour this summer. A Showcase Event will take place at the Hamburg Markthalle on 15 May. Of course, Picolino DI will also be on stage.
Picolino geht auf Happy Tour
Ab 30 Januar geht Picolino DI mit auf die fortsetzung der Peter Heppner Tour. Wieder mit dabei ist Carsten Klatte mit seinen Picolino DIs im Gitarrenkoffer.
